Aleks Metal Refinery (AMR) made a remarkable entry into the Istanbul Chamber of Industry’s (ISO) Top 500 Industrial Enterprises of Turkey list in the very same year it launched production at its state-of-the-art facility. Ranking 113th with its production-based sales, AMR also secured third place in its sector in terms of both company size and export volume.

As one of Turkey’s leading gold refineries, Aleks Metal Refinery achieved a major milestone in 2024—the year it commenced operations using cutting-edge technology. Operating under the umbrella of AgaOne and authorized by Turkish regulators, AMR entered the ISO 500 list with a production-based sales figure of TRY 16.575 billion. It ranked 113th overall and stood out as one of the top three companies in its sector for both overall scale and exports.

Sarp Tarhanacı, Chairman of the Board at Aleks Metal Refinery, stated:

“During the press conference we held in May 2024 ahead of our facility's official opening, we forecasted that we would enter the ISO 500 list this year. With the sales we achieved over the last seven months of 2024, we made it to 113th place. Based on our performance this year, we expect to climb even higher in next year’s ranking. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all my colleagues for this outstanding achievement.”

On the Path to Becoming a Global Player Through International Partnerships

“Our daily production capacity at Aleks Metal Refinery is 330 kilograms, contributing 99 tons annually to the Turkish economy,” Tarhanacı noted. Emphasizing AMR’s ambition to become a global player, he added:

“We place great importance on international partnerships as part of our global branding strategy. When we assess the general structure of refineries in Turkey, AMR stands out as the most proactive organization when it comes to facilitating foreign partnerships. We believe that attracting foreign investment to our sector will significantly benefit the national economy as well.”
